Glenn Collins FCCA, ACCA

Head of Technical Advisory, ACCA

Glenn Collins is responsible for advice and support to ACCA members on a range of issues, including audit, financial reporting, business and credit advice, taxation, company and business law, ethics, export and access to finance. A Fellow of ACCA, Glenn Collins spent 16 years in public practice, specialising in audit and business advice, before joining ACCA where he has worked for nearly 18 years.

Anita Monteith

Technical Manager, ICAEW Tax Faculty

Anita is ICAEW’s Tax Technical lead and senior policy adviser and has a particular interest in tax matters affecting small and medium sized businesses. She is closely involved with online filing developments in tax and is leading for ICAEW for Making Tax Digital.

In 2011 she was seconded to the Government’s Treasury Select Committee to develop a set of principles for designing tax policy and continues to be retained by that committee as its Specialist Adviser on tax matters. She is currently a member of the Tax Professionals Forum which reviews the government’s policy making process. In 2013 Anita was appointed Specialist Adviser to the House of Lords Committee inquiring into the use of personal service companies in the UK.

Lee Hawksworth

Head of SDS, HMRC

Lee is a dynamic forward thinking digital professional with a passion for people, music and tech to unite and connect our world. Lee is a certified agile leader with vast experience in leading large Digital & Business Transformation programmes & projects in HM Government. Lee has delivered high profile products across Government that meet user & business needs.

Lee heads up the Software Developer Collaboration teams in HMRC Digital, one of the most transformational environments in government. His teams support the multi hundred million digital transactions which are completed through an Application Programming Interface (API) using a third-party software product.

Louise Smyth

Chief Executive and Registrar of Companies, Companies House

Louise Smyth joined Companies House in September 2017 as Chief Executive and Registrar for England and Wales.

Before joining Companies House Louise held a number of senior positions at the International Property Office (IPO), including director of IT, Director of People, Places & Services. Louise went on to become Chief Operating Officer in 2014, responsible for Corporate Services: IT, People, Places and Services and Finance.

John has made clients successful in every major market worldwide during his 17-year career in technology leading world-class sales and professional services organizations. This started after his departure as a corporate finance and accounting practitioner in 2000 so he could grow a startup to +425 employees and exit to IBM with a role of VP Sales Operations in 2010. During his stay at IBM, John held global roles running sales enablement, offering management and design all within the IBM Analytics division. He strives to lead clients to effectively use analytics to change the course of their business.

John is a veteran of the hi-tech scene with over 25 years of experience in senior leadership roles in business development, product marketing, sales, sales enablement, channel marketing and alliances. John has worked with major international companies such as Motorola, Avaya, Nortel to start ups such as C-Port Networks (acquired by Motorola in 2000) and Vayyoo Inc. (acquired by CafeX in 2017). John takes pride in identifying opportunities in the market and delivering real business results that meet and exceed customers expectations.

Steve Cox

Chief Evangelist, Accountancy Division

With over 16 years’ experience within the IT and software market, Steve is a technology professional with strong strategic management skills and expertise in accountancy/taxation markets, project & product management, software & legislative analysis, technology and customer service.

Steve has extensive experience in the analysis, management and continued progression of market leading software for both on and off-shore development operations. An excellent presenter and speaker, Steven is not afraid to present and demonstrate to large audiences and role play customer scenarios.

Sion Lewis

CEO, Accountancy Division

Sion joined IRIS in 2010 as CSO of IRIS Accountancy Division. Prior to this Sion has held leadership positions at various major software organisations including BMC & salesforce.com. At BMC Sion was responsible for ensuring the acquisition of Tideway Systems (where he was VP Sales) was successfully integrated into the global sales organisation, and launched a new SaaS offering with Salesforce.com. During his tenure at salesforce.com, Sion set up the UK Financial Services Division, contributing over 30% of UK revenues. A consistent over-achiever, Sion leads, manages and motivates our commercial teams.

Nick Gregory

CPMO, Accountancy Division

Nick is CPMO of IRIS bringing over 25 years of experience in B2B software marketing, sales and product development. He joined the company in August 2015 as Chief Marketing Officer, having previously led B2B marketing agency MXL, advising and leading brands such as MessageLabs, MySQL and Veritas.

Prior to this he ran his own B2B manufacturing analytics software business, Portico. Nick has also held senior roles at content management pioneer, MediaSurface and database giant, Oracle.

In 2016, Nick was recognised as one of the 100 most influential B2B tech marketers in Europe.

Paul Onions

Product Director, Accountancy Division

After starting his career as an accountant in practice Paul moved into the software industry and is now a senior executive with 19 years’ experience in market leading software development companies. Paul has expertise in strategic thinking, operational implementation and pricing with a proven ability to build highly effective teams and award winning products. Paul is responsible for the IRIS product strategy and roadmap ensuring IRIS stays ahead of the legislation while continuing to deliver significant efficiency gains and great new functionality. Paul has played an instrumental role in several major technical updates over his time with IRIS (and PTP) including ELS, Online Filing, iXBRL, FRS and now MTD and is therefore well placed to ensure our continued success in the compliance arena.

Tolu Ajimoko

Tolu has over 15 years' experience with IRIS Software. He has held various roles from support, business analyst and product management. Tolu has come from a background in tax covering areas such as personal, corporation & trust tax. Tolu is responsible for some of the IRIS cloud solutions such as IRIS OpenSpace and IRIS Insight.

Jenny Strudwick

Senior Product Manager - Tax

Jenny, Senior Product Manager for Tax Products at IRIS, has been instrumental in major tax changes over the last 15 years from FBI to iXBRL and now MTD. Jenny works closely with HMRC as the organisation develops its MTD strategy. Prior to her career at IRIS, Jenny spent a number of years in practice.
