It’s a landmark year for IRIS Accountancy Solutions as we turn 40 years old. We’re proud of our heritage and position as industry pioneers and so, to mark this milestone, we are delighted to launch the inaugural IRIS Customer Awards.
We know there is an enormous amount of excellence among our 21,000 plus customers. We want to celebrate this.
We provide best-in-class accountancy software solutions for use by every practice in the UK and through these awards, we will recognise the leading individuals and firms who have been working with IRIS to deliver outstanding service and results for so many clients.

This award is for a primary or secondary school or academy who demonstrates outstanding performance over the previous 12 months.
As well as academic achievement, the judges will be looking for tangible evidence of innovation, imagination and initiatives which have had a positive impact on the outcomes of staff and students across the school or academy.
Please support your entry with relevant evidence including for example inspection reports, parent testimonials or data analysis.
Winning an IRIS award demonstrates that you’re among the accountancy elite and the top performers in the accountancy sector. Whatever your practice size, an award shows your colleagues, peers and employees that you’re at the forefront of best practice, be that innovation, business development or delivering the highest standards of client service. You are leaders in your field.
All UK accountants, UK accountancy firms (of any size and nature) who are a customer of IRIS Software Group (using IRIS, Keytime, PTP or KashFlow branded products) are welcome to enter the award.
The IRIS Firm of the Year award will be split into firm size categories.
These are defined as:
• Small; up to 2 partners, annual fee income under £500,000, up to 600 clients
• Medium; up to 5 partners, annual fee income under £4,000,000, up to 2,000 clients
• Large; 6+ partners, annual fee income in-excess of £4,000,000, over 2,000 clients

Martin Bissett is the founder of the Upward Spiral Partnership (USP for short), The Upward Spiral Foundation, the co-founder of Addviserplus (Add+) and The Accounting Influencer Roundtable (AIR).
A 12-time author, mentor and global keynoter, in 2018 International Accounting Bulletin (IAB) designated Martin as its official ‘Knowledge Partner’ in recognition of his work over the last 22 years advising accounting firms on profession-wide issues from fee growth to ethical marketing and from talent retention to tech stack
Tom Herbert Accounting
Tom is editor of AccountingWEB, the UK’s leading independent website for accountants and finance professionals. Tom has been a journalist for more than ten years, covering a variety of fields including business, travel and sport.
Marie is an experienced employment lawyer who has acted on behalf of a wide range of clients from SMEs to multi-national organisations throughout her 18 years of practice. Marie has exclusively practised in the field for over a decade and now acts predominantly on behalf of businesses and senior executives in all areas of employment law.
Marie is also a visiting lecturer on a number of post graduate courses delivered by at least two major national educational institutions and continues to lecture alongside practice, which keeps her up to date with all areas of her specialism.
Leadership and Development Partner
Natasha McCreesh is a coach and mentor for organisational leaders and their teams; designing and implementing personal development programmes for scale-ups, mentoring strategic business planning for start-ups and leading personal development workshops for SMEs.
She collaborates with organisations that are mindful of the link between investment in learning and growth, partnering with business owners and their teams to lead positive engagement with growth goals. Following 20 years of leading teams, her passion is to raise awareness of (and educate on) practical ways to employ behaviours that support strong growth in business and life.
CEO, Confederation of School Trusts (CST)
Leora Cruddas is the CEO of the Confederation of School Trusts – the national organisation and sector body for school trusts in England. She has advised successive governments and sits on several Department for Education Advisory Bodies. She is the vice chair of the Head Teacher Standards Review Group.
Leora has six years of experience as a Director of Education in two London Local Authorities. She has extensive experience at senior executive level of working with schools and trusts to improve the effectiveness and quality of education.
Parenting expert and broadcaster
Sue Atkins is an internationally recognised Parenting Expert, Broadcaster, Speaker and Author of the Amazon best-selling books “Parenting Made Easy – How to Raise Happy Children” & “Raising Happy Children for Dummies" one in the famous black and yellow series as well as author of the highly acclaimed Parenting Made Easy CDs, Apps and resources.
She regularly appears on the award-winning flagship ITV show “This Morning,” Sky News, Good Morning Britain and has a weekly ‘Parenting Round Up’ on Eamonn Holmes Drive Time Show on talkRADIO every Tuesday.
MSc ChFCIPP FHEA, Board director, CIPP
Dianne joined the CIPP board of directors in 2018. Dianne has worked in the payroll profession for over 30 years, so has seen many changes from green screen mainframe to Cloud Based solutions. Payroll became Dianne's passion in 2003 and she decided to study the IPPM Diploma in Payroll Management and once she had completed this, she took on the role as a CIPP tutor.
In 2017, Dianne joined Hyperion Service Limited as the EMEA Payroll Manager. Hyperion is one of the world's leading insurance intermediary groups, employing around 3,600 employees worldwide.
MCIPP, MIoD, Chairman of the Board of Directors, CIPP
Jason is Chairman of the Board of Directors for the CIPP. He has been a non-executive director with the CIPP for a number of years. He is also founder of the payroll consultancy firm, Calendar Consulting Ltd which he established in 2017.
Jason has spent the majority of his career in the BPO industry. In the last 25 years he has worked for LogicaCMG (now CGI) in UK and Europe, NGA Human Resources both in the UK and globally, providing payroll, pensions and HR outsourced services and was Chief Operating Officer for Capita HRS Division in the UK delivering to a variety of both Public and Private sector organisations.
MSc FCIPP FHEA ACIPD, Board director CIPP
Liz has been a member of the CIPP board of directors since 2017. She led the design development and project management of the CIPP Payroll Quality Partnership scheme successfully engaging over 80 organisations within a two-year period.
Prior to the CIPP, using strategic decision making she set up from nothing, built and successfully ran her own business for five years in an extremely competitive environment. Liz is passionate about payroll, payroll education and promoting the profession.
